David Hamner is a CPA and began his career auditing School Boards, Public Housing Authorities and Hospitals. He worked as controller for a hospital, serving as payroll and benefits coordinator. He was the controller at a publicly traded oil and gas measurement company, where he served as 401(k) plan administrator and employee benefits decision maker for several years.
After leaving corporate accounting David began working with Federal Employees to help them understand their FERS/CSRS benefits as well as their TSP options. His background as a 401(k) administrator provided an understanding of the TSP plan since both have similar rules and options. David conducts educational presentations across approximately eight states. He has achieved the Federal Retirement Consultant (FRC) designation. He also helps Federal Employees plan for their retirement by minimizing taxes.
