Steven Melchiorri, Certified Financial Fiduciary®, CFP®, CHFC®, CLU®
With over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry, I’ve had the privilege of serving individuals, families, and financial professionals with integrity, passion, and a commitment to excellence. My journey has taken me through leadership roles as a Regional Vice President in the Northeast for two of the country’s oldest and most respected mutual financial services companies, where I helped individual advisors grow and scale their practices.
As a Certified Financial Fiduciary and Investment Advisor Representative, I specialize in guiding clients through the complexities of retirement income planning, wealth preservation, and legacy building. My approach is holistic and education-driven, grounded in principles of income, liquidity, and legacy. I take pride in demystifying complex financial decisions and making clients feel comfortable and confident in planning for their future.
My leadership extends beyond my practice. I have served as Chapter President and Regional Vice President of the New Jersey National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). I currently serve as the Paramus Chapter President of the American Financial Education Association (AFEA) and am a longtime catechist at St. Denis Church in Manasquan, NJ.
Academically, I earned my bachelor’s degree in History and Finance from the City University of New York. I’ve furthered my financial education by earning the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation from the American College of Financial Services and completing the Certified Financial Planner™ curriculum at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
On a personal note, I’ve been happily married to my incredible wife, Amy, for over 20 years. We live in Brielle, NJ, and are proud parents to our three amazing daughters—Ava Georgette, Hannah Grace, and Alexandra Lilly. Life with four strong women is full of fun, love, and occasional chaos—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I stay active in their lives by coaching their Little League teams and teaching CCD classes at church. In my downtime, I love riding my bike to the beach and enjoying a well-earned happy hour with Amy and friends.
Whether I’m at the office, in the classroom, or on the sidelines, my goal remains the same: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others—personally and professionally.

Other credentials include Retirement Income Certified Professional®, Certified Financial Fiduciary®, Certified Tax Specialist, Accredited Estate Planner®, and several other designations.
Since that time, Gary has sought to improve the quality of advice given to retirees, including maximizing retirement income, properly allocating investments with a goal to achieve the client’s desired results taking the least amount of risk necessary, tax reduction strategies, and legacy planning, first to the surviving spouse who may not have handled the financial affairs, and then to any beneficiaries.
Gary is the current president of the American Financial Education Alliance, Manalapan Chapter, and a past president of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, Monmouth Chapter, and a past president of the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Central New Jersey. He has also co-authored several books, including, “The CPA’s Guide to Life Insurance” and “The CPA’s Guide to Federal and Estate Gift Taxation.”
