John Hess has been involved with Client Service and Practice Management since 1987. He joined what is now Hess Financial Planning Inc in 1999. In 2015, he became the sole owner of the Firm. He focuses on financial planning, helping clients plan for and enjoy their retirement. As part of planning, John helps clients with the tax implications of their investment decisions. He earned his Enrolled Agent (EA) designation, which enables him to practice and represent clients before the IRS.

In 2024, Hess Financial Planning Inc was awarded Business of the Year Lancaster, SC by the Lancaster Co Chamber of Commerce in recognition of their service and contributions to clients and the community.

John has been published in Investment Advisor magazine. He served as Area Chapter Director for Avantax Investment Services^sm for 7 years. The meetings are for training and networking with area Investment Advisors. John maintains his Securities licenses through continuing education at national and local conferences.

John is involved in providing the full slate of financial services we offer for our clients. John is Securities Licensed and is a Licensed Insurance Agent in multiple states.

John and his wife Malissa have two children and three grandchildren. John spends much of his leisure time working in ministries at his church: teaching, serving, singing, and leading various groups. John also enjoys reading, golf, and working in the yard.

Alex Johnson is an independent insurance broker through his agency, HealthCare Advisors. He specializes in individual/family health insurance, Medicare, life insurance, and insurance solutions for retirement and long-term care needs.

Originally from Chicago and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, Chris has lived in Denver since 2002 and loves his career as a financial planner. He stays motivated by the satisfaction he finds in helping families create, understand, and implement a plan for reaching their financial goals and needs. As life changes the path to our goals, Chris and his team continually adapt and adjust to help maintain the most efficient and cost effective strategies to stay on course. Prior to his career in the financial services, Chris worked in the biotechnology industry as both an organic chemist and instrumentation engineer.

Craig Hammer, RICP, Certified Financial Fiduciary®, has been assisting clients in the securities and insurance industries since 2007. He is passionate about helping clients reach their financial goals by researching and formulating individualized plans to meet the client’s needs and objectives. 

He holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as his insurance license in Tennessee. In 2018, Craig earned his RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional) designation.  He is also a Certified Financial Fiduciary ®.

Craig is a lifelong resident of East Tennessee and a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He has been married to Lisa since 1996. They have one daughter, Kayla, who also graduated from the University of Tennessee. He enjoys attending live sporting events and concerts, as well as golf and travel.  He is very active in his church and has served in several lay leadership roles.

James Huhn is the founder of WRM Advisors, LLC and this year celebrates his 48^th year in the insurance and financial services industries. He is a Registered Financial Consultant® (RFC), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC), Long-Term Care Professional (LTCP), a licensed insurance agent in Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee, and holds a Series 66 securities license. He has spent more than two decades as a financial consultant helping others protect what they have worked for throughout their lives. Jim enjoys meeting new people on a regular basis and creating a plan to protect against many financial risks, including market risk, health risks, inflation risk, and longevity risk.

He has created a successful practice working with individuals and business owners both in person and virtually. The firm has established strategic partnerships with carefully selected companies, offering solutions tailored for individuals and business owners. WRM Advisors, LLC. also offers a comprehensive estate planning software tool to assist clients in preparing their estate plans. 

Two of the absolute most important aspects of Jim’s life are faith and family. Jim works with non-profit organizations focused on helping those in need both locally and around the world. Jim relocated to the mountains of Northern Georgia in 2020 and enjoys life in the cabin of his dreams. Jim enjoys all things outdoors, cooking, and most music. He is a published poet and enjoys creative writing in his free time. Additionally, he loves to travel; his favorite travel location so far was Sicily, the birthplace of his paternal grandmother.
