Colton Cockerell is a financial advisor for Sharer McKinley Group, LLC. His passion is working with people and assisting them in reaching their financial goals through fiduciary, prudent investment advisory services and strategies. He has served business owners, individuals, retirees and pre-retirees with financial services, financial products, and retirement income planning in his 30-year career in the financial services industry.

Brent Lankford is executive vice president of Mid-America Estate & Insurance Services, which was founded by his father, Dwight Lankford, in 1995. Brent focuses on using insurance products to assist clients with creating retirement strategies that they can feel confident about.

Brent’s business philosophy is to do everything with honesty, integrity and passion. He started in the insurance and annuity industry following a successful 20-year career owning and running a company he started just out of high school. He wanted to do something more meaningful that brought him closer to his clients. In 2013, the financial services industry drew him in for its promise of helping others improve their lives and financial futures.

Although Brent’s client base stretches across Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma, his core area of service is in the northern areas of Greater Houston. He holds his life and health (LAH) licenses in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma and is a Certified Financial Fiduciary (CFF), as well.

Bret is a native Texan, born in Houston and raised in San Marcos. He is a graduate of Baylor University and also has an MBA in Finance from Dallas Baptist University. Early in his career, he worked in the real estate and homebuilding industry before moving into the financial services industry. After working at several investment firms in the Dallas area, Bret opened his own independent firm in 2005. In 2014, Bret re-established his firm as a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm through the State of Texas doing business as Wilson Investment Services, LLC.

He lives in Rockwall with his wife of 32 years, Leslie. They have three happily married children and two grandchildren. When he’s not advising clients, watching the markets or reading his favorite investment blogs, Bret enjoys playing golf, building rustic furniture, visiting his kids and grandkids and going on mission trips with the youth at his church, LakePointe Church in Rockwall.
